Custom Shop & Covered Porch with Matching Well House — Fort Bend County, TX

This custom 30’ x 50’ metal shop and garage was designed to be both highly functional and visually cohesive with the surrounding property. Built with 14’ eave height, the structure easily accommodates large equipment, trailers, and recreational vehicles while still maintaining a clean, residential-friendly appearance.

The building features two 12’ x 12’ roll-up doors and an additional 8’ x 8’ roll-up door for flexible access and efficient traffic flow, along with a 3’ x 7’ walk-through door for everyday convenience. A 3’ white wainscot adds contrast and durability along the base of the structure, helping protect against wear while visually grounding the building.

A 15’ x 50’ lean-to extends along the side of the shop to create a shaded covered porch — providing a comfortable space for outdoor entertaining, relaxing, or working out of the sun and rain. This lean-to effectively turns the shop into a dual-purpose structure that serves both work and lifestyle needs.

To tie the entire project together, we also constructed a matching metal well house using the same color scheme and materials as the main building, ensuring a cohesive look across the property. A custom concrete walkway connects the shop and home, improving accessibility while adding a finished, intentional feel to the landscape.

The result is a clean, functional, and well-integrated property upgrade that blends utility with comfort — a shop that works hard while still enhancing the overall look and livability of the home.
