Custom Weld-Up Metal Shop with Entertaining Space – Rosenberg, Texas

This custom metal building project in Rosenberg, Texas was designed to provide both functional workspace and comfortable outdoor living space.

The building features a 30' x 50' x 14' weld-up steel structure with a full 20' x 50' lean-to, creating a versatile layout that can be used for equipment storage, vehicle parking, workshop space, and outdoor entertaining.

The exterior is finished with 26-gauge Rustic Red R-panel siding accented by Coffee Brown trim, giving the building a timeless Texas look. Two white roll-up doors, a walk door, and windows provide convenient access and natural light throughout the interior.

Structural components include 4½-inch steel pipe columns set in concrete piers, 10-inch and 12-pound I-beam rafters, galvanized roof and wall purlins, and a 26-gauge Galvalume roof system. Two roof vents help improve airflow and ventilation within the building.

The concrete foundation consists of a 50' x 50' reinforced slab with #3 rebar on 16-inch centers, 3,000 PSI concrete, heavy plastic underlay, and additional concrete piers beneath each column for long-term durability and strength.

One of the standout features of this project is the large covered lean-to. The space provides shade and protection from the elements while creating an ideal area for gatherings, cookouts, outdoor seating, and everyday enjoyment. It's a great example of how a custom metal building can serve multiple purposes beyond simple storage.
